How to Rotate Skype Tips


Thank you all for being hosts & room moderators. All the Room Hosts are now developing how to Rotate Skype Tips using this collaboration tool, Google Doc spreadsheet for Skype Tips (which we will abbreviate GDss).

Easy Fast Low Commitment Host Tasks

Rotating my existing Skype Tips is really a very easy task of copying & pasting in the Skype Tips Room and marking off a few items in the GDss to communicate to the rest of us that ... this Tip is done and when. It takes but a few moment to complete a Skype Tip.

Heres How in 2 or 3 Easy Steps:

1. Once you have been sent an invitation by Hyla to join, (just PM her your email addy and ask for an invite to the GDss) .....

2. You will be able to collect these items from the spreadsheet to copy and paste as a Skype tip in the Room like this.

3. Finally, there are a few columns to check off date, time and your initials when you post a Skype Tip in the Skype Tip Skype Room.

Thats it. Pretty easy.

Why Are We Doing This?

If someone asks a question about Skype, hosts need to know where to find the answer to help them quickly and easily. We want the room to be interesting and active. Plus we want to offer valuable Skype information in the room. It is first of all a Skype Tips room where people get to learn how to use & network with Skype and in Skype rooms. They can learn to edit posts, better manage their time and attention with Skype settings, how to come and go and find a room when needed and how to network to build relationships (ie, learn "nettiquette) and so much more. Members will need info to know what to ask about, ie, they will not even know what they do not know yet about Skype. This room and the rotating Skype Tips can help them.

I'll Make New Skype Tips as needed.

If you can not find a tip to answer a question, then just report it in the ModSkype room which you can enter here and let them know we will get the answer for them asap. If needed I will make more Skype tips, Videos, screen shots, etc. Just keep me posted if there is an unfulfilled need I have not covered yet.

Who, When & How Often?

We have a few people who have committed to doing this daily, and some who will do it when they can. This should work. I'm thinking no more then 3 times a "day" should the same Tip be posted. We will see how this works. And if the room is quiet, no posts, and you still see the last time a Tip was posted, just wait before you post the same tip again. Or if it is a new day, post a new Tip choosing either the next one on the GDss or one of your favorites.

Suggestions:

Please add the date with your time zone (AEST is Eastern Australia, CET is Central European Time, etc ) and use the designations for time zone here http://www.agreeadate.com/time_zone_planner.aspx This also can be used to know how long ago it was posted by some one else by comparing it to your time... or just scroll the room.

Find a Partner

It would be helpful to partner up with some one else preferably in your time zone but not necessarily, could be that they are online same time ... to share the task of posting a Tip at certain times during the day. I'll leave this up to you. Diana & Charly are helping each other nicely in Australia.

What Kind of Commitment?

The beauty of this is, most of you do not need to commit to regular days or times at all. We can all simply check the GDss to see if there is a need , see if its time to post next tip , when ever we can. You can even enter the Skype Tips Room from this link. And enter the GDss from this link.

Other Things to Post in the Skype Tips Room

Some hosts have volunteered to post activity reminders in the room as well. We now have these activities each week:

1. Monday - Women's Motivation Mindset & Marketing-meets in my Focus Group HC room per this Calender Schedule.
2. Friday - Introduce Your Self Day (both on my blog and in the Skype Room with links) - all day.
3. Tuesday - Pick-a-Priority (aka How to Prioratize, final name pending) - a goal setting and accountability support group meets in my Focus Group HC room at 7:30pm EST.

I'll do a separate post about these soon. And there will be more Tip Types in the future:

Host Moderators Post Tips in Skype Room

Here is something I posted today in my Skype room. I hope we can have more participation in the Skype room and HC Room conversations stimulated by our Moderators & Hosts (you).

Please read my Skype room when you can for these tips and trainings on how to get things moving along in there... and how to direct people to New Skype Tips , Skype updates or eCourse and Skype tips archives, as well as Sales Funnel Secrets Tips and membership site and setup steps. The later is beyond the scope of this topic, yet still on topic and purpose for the room (read guild lines in the top blue area of my Skype room here) ... we will be doing much over hall on SFS over the months to come. In fact I'm about to have a meeting w Hyla & Russ about that now.

Here is an example post you can put in the rooms regularly. Maybe even daily ... well with any new post you could put the latest one with its heading/whats its about. Or if there are not new ones just post the archive only.

Skype Room Hosts

Here is an update on new room moderator hosts now that we have Skype rooms to support people in as well as the HC Room. This is an audio I made with Hyla & Tamara & Adrienne present.





We invite all moderators to do these things:
  1. Join Julie's Level 1 Skype Room (for now called Julie Wolf - Skype & SFS Support Room 101 ) which is open to the public and whose Purpose & Focus & Guild-lines Hyla will soon post a link to [[here]] .
  2. Ask to be promoted to Skype Room Host if you are a room moderator and want to moderate (greet &/or support) in the Skype room(s). See more on role options below and in the audio.
  3. If you are doing certain hours, add yourself to the Support Calender (link coming soon - ask so I don't forget plz) ) and state if you are HC Room only or Skype room only ... if both that is the default assumption that you will be in both so no need to put which.


Do we need to make a selection list of roles for moderators to choose and or get trainings on as requested?

  1. Greet members especially new members, in the rooms and ask, "How can I help?" or "Whats on your mind today?".
  2. Report in Moderator Skype (everyone must choose this) ... any visitor activity in rooms as well as your time or hours so we can gage levels of participate and moderator benefits earned. I suppose reporting hours can be optional if you do not want any benefits.
  3. Post Link to Guidelines and Focused Purpose of the Room for new people ... and as needed. This would be good to report to in the mod Skype.
  4. Offer Support on various things... based on your knowledge, skill, training, and willingness to offer help. See examples:

Example 1 : (Tamara Wilson - Skype SFS Support 101 only) ... is how she may choose to write it if that is the only room she is in (not in the HC room).

Example 2:
If and when she is on all skype rooms as well as the HC Room, then only her name (Tamara Wilson - Wordpress Support) with noting after it would go in the Calender for a certain hours. Notice her skill set after her name here. Again all these are only suggestions or examples.

Example 3: (
Bill Moore - HC room only - Computer Help, Open Office, HC room support) if he does not want to watch the Skype room(s) and just listen for & be available in the HC room only. Notice he has listed a skill he can help with.

Example 4:
(Hyla Weimann - Skype SFS Support 101, 102, Free, Elite, Support Skypes - SFS Setup & Support Manager, Blogger Blog Setup, Aweber Setup, F5M) ... is an example of being listed in several rooms in certain hours on the Calender and with several areas of specific support.

  1. How to get a Private Support Skype
  2. Learn & Support on How to use Skype
  3. Support on how to get a SFS membership (free or Elite)
  4. Where to find Setup Steps, Blog Tips, Skype Tips, Aweber Tips, Advertising Tips & 5 Day Marketing Plan, List Building Tips, Group Meetings like Womens Motivation Mindset & Marketing Mondays or when & where to come to Julie Wolf's training and Q&A sessions or .... or all of these with a Weekly Blog & Training Update subscription.
  5. How to Refer members to other rooms of my partners or my other rooms (such as Private Support Skype Rooms, Free SFS Members Skype Rooms, or Elite SFS Members Skype Rooms, F5M and other partners Skype Rooms to get the support they need from my partners for their projects.

New Skype Room for Our Room Moderators

Happy Belated New Year 2008

Welcome All New Moderators, Denise Selfe & Tamara Wilson!

We are changing our Moderator Skype Room now to this one - click here to join it. We will be using this new skype room group chat instead of the old one. So remember to book mark it after you join it. It has the same purpose :

  1. Report your hours daily and total monthly.
  2. Report visitors and there contact details (Skype if they have it and email address and how they found this conference room, discussions and needs or requests.
Ideas for the Schedule in 2008 is to have the skills that our moderators have listed so people know when they can get support with specific things. I also want it to be cleaner and easier to see the Schedule for both support and trainings on the home page in the room.


Also about the New Skype Room for Moderators:

Q: I have bookmarked it the Skype Room for Moderators, how do I get back to it?

A: Your main Skype box has Bookmarked Chats in the top menues ... (currently under Chats ... but they have been known to move it to other menu so look around if its not there). There is a little arrow on Bookmarked Chats. Click that then the bottom box has the rooms you are bookmarked in. Just click the Skype room you want and it will open.

Look at these posts to get more info and watch videos and if you need more help come to the room and skype us and we will show you in desktop share ... we can even make more videos while we are showing you. Let me know if you have any video ideas and suggestions. We LOVE making videos to support you.

The Room Schedule

New Moderator Access to the Support Schedule Calender

I will replace the Google Docs with the Google Calender for Moderators to list their Support Hours and for Hyla & I to Schedule the Trainings. All Moderators who have Google Calender (its free) can have access to the Schedule so you you can still add or edit your Support Hours.

Please Add Your Support Hours to The New Calender
Plus Your Skills & Knowledge to Help People.


Besides adding your hours each week people can expect to find you in the room, you can also add your areas of support (things you love to help people with), in the description. Let people know your areas of expertise or knowledge so they know who to ask for help with what depending on their needs for support and when to find certain kinds of support in the room. This way people will come to the room when you are there to get help in the things you love to help people with.

Let us know, Skype us, if you need help figuring out how to use the Google Calender or how to access it.

How to Add Yourself to the New Google Calender for Moderators:

Q: How do I access the SFS Focus Group Training & Support Room Calender to add myself to it as a room moderator or to edit my hours?

A: Login to your own Google account or get one free, then add the Google Calender if you do not have it. You should be able to access any calender you have been given permission to share form your own calender. I will give all my room moderators this permission so you can add/edit your hours and describe how you can help support people. Just Skype Hyla or I or email us and we will add you as an approved moderator and or send you and invitation.

This schedule is also seen by our room visitors to help them know when they can find us in the room. This schedule is used by our moderators to record the times you can commit to support in the room.

1. How to Access the Schedule the First Time to Add Yourself

First you will need to ask Hyla or Julie to send you an invitation to access the schedule on Google Calender. This is editable by all moderators who are sent an invitation and have the free Google Calender. You may need a free gmail account isf you do not have one. Then you can fill in some times on the Schedule that you can commit to.

To help you to choose hours, please refer to #3 below to see when we need you most based on your availability. Ask us to send you an invitation to access this Schedule in the Group Moderator Skype Room. Are you on the Group Moderator Skype Room yet?

2. Changing the Schedule - Reminder How to Access & Edit it Later DFown the Road when things change in your life.
Do let us know each month what needs to change if anything for your hours on the Schedule. If you ever need to change your hours on the schedule, here is how to access it:
  • Login to your gmail
  • Click Calender (NEEEEDS CHKING NOW... IS THIS STILL TRUE???)
  • Click ....???
  • Open SFS Focus Group Calender (NEEEEDS CHKING NOW... IS THIS STILL TRUE???)
  • Double Click any cell to edit, to add or remove yourself.
  • Write your name .... and if you know , describe how you love to help people, what with , etc
  • Save changes
  • Please let us know of changes you have made on Group Moderator Skype Room (HYLA LINK THAT TO THE ROOM PLZ)

3. Hours we need you to fill in the most in order of Priority (Neeeds editing - no colores now? or can we?) :
  1. SFS Trainings (blue) - Duties: Choose hours of the day of the Topics You want to attend or Support. During Trainings, click & synchronize the room for training . If you are comfortable, read the text, or play and audio or video and ask for questions afterward.
  2. Support Hours (green) - Once we have at least one person in all the SFS Training hours we need to Fill Empty Green Support hours.
  3. We need 2 people in each colored cell once we have one in each hour. You can be a 2nd or 3rd person in either a blue SFS Training or a green Support Hour so you can give each other a break and replace or cover for each other. See #5 below.
  4. Once all the colored SFS Training and Support Hours are filled with 2-3 people, we can start accepting moderators for the white hours and aim for 24 hour coverage. Again, only add your name to a cell if you can comment to that time consistently.
  5. Remember only place your name in hours you can commit to and if there is a week you can not make it. Tell us in Moderator Skype when you can not make it and try find a replacement.
  6. CHANGES: I will adjust the Support and Training hours to times you moderators can fill. This is why it is important to read the home page Support & Training Schedule in the room periodically to make sure we are keeping our promise to our subscribers, visitors and members. Please give feedback in the Moderator Skype. Read #5 below for if you need to make changes to your hours on the Schedule.


4. Time Zones & Hours

The hours are in ET (Eastern Time, ie America, New York). You can convert ET times to your time from the link on the Schedule on the home page in the room (PLACE LINK HERE PLZ). And here is the room download if you need it again. Please read the room home page to understand our promise to be there.


5. Replacing Yourself for days and times off.
Please use the Moderator Skype to ask others to replace you if you can not make it. We hope to have at least 2 people in every support and training hour eventually and this will be good for backing each other up. If you cant find a replacement make sure Julie or Hyla know. This is especially true if it is an Training or a Support hour. Please note... visitors come to the room based on what is on the Schedule. So if your name is on the schedule, in any hour, even outside of support hours, and you cant be there... it is possible someone will come in at that time. The SFS Trainings and the Support hours (all the colored ones) are of course first priority. Please do not put your name in any hour unless you can commit to it. And, having said that, it is wonderful if you can be in more then your scheduled hours. When filling in the Schedule, please know that if you can not make it one week and you know this ion advance you can put the cell (not 11/25) for example.


6. Moderator Training - all you need to know

We will show you all you need to know to be a moderator and support person. For Moderator Training, if you have signed up for the updates, the emails will send you to posts in this blog to fully prepare you in all aspects becoming a good moderator. You will learn every 2-4 days all about the benefits, the duties, the " how to's" of both the room features to support people and the SFS system Steps & blog training topics. You will also get an email each time I post an update on this blog http://sfsmoderators.blogspot.com which will let you see the most recent top post update. Please sign up here for the moderators messages and updates if you have not yet. We also will need all of your email addresses to send you an invitation to get on the schedule. But do not wait for us, ask us on the Group Moderator Skype.

Support Skype

Moderators can offer members visiting the Focus Group Conference Room a Support Skype

Anyone who needs support for Sales Funnel Secrets can request a Support Skype with us - Julie and Hyla. Julie’s Skype name is juliewolf and Hyla’s Skype name is hymagw. If a visitor in the room wants a support Skype, give them our Skype names. This is a three-way Skype with the member, Julie and Hyla. They can request a Support Skype from the moderators in the Support & Training room. The benefit of this is that they can leave their question anytime and get support almost anytime, as our time zones (S. Africa & USA Pacific Time) are such that one of us is awake at the same time as them at times even both of us. With a Group Support Skype, we can always go back and see what has been done by one or the other of us to support them and know what still needs doing.

If they request a support Skype from a moderator, please report this in the Moderators Skype Room, then one of us will make one. Please get their Skype ID in case we don't have it.

As moderators, you can give this to individuals who need to learn how to get and use a Support Skype Rooms, there they will learn how to Bookmark it and how to find a bookmarked Skype later. There is a video showing how to bookmark a Skype Chat and how to find it again.

If they do not have Skype tell them they can download it free from here: http://incomeassurance.com/skype as well as get Skype Tips & watch Skype Movies there too.

ModHoursReport

ATTN MODERATORS:

I now have a new hits credit for "weighting" hits from the moderator rotator:

This was edited Nov 16th....

Please report a total number of hours reported in the Support Skype.

If you report these ACTIVELY supporting hours on moderator skype and report a total at the end of the month, you will get more "weighting" hits from the rotator for your Mod Lead Capture page. "Active Support" is when you are available in the room. Report them in the ModSkype. Learn more in the audio below.

How?

Here is a simple way to record your support hours in the Mod Skype throughout the month and then an easy way to total them up at the end of each month to report your total hours for the Rotator.

Listen to the audio to learn more:




  1. We record when we enter and when we leave in the Mod Skype
  2. Each time your time in the room is done besides recording that you are leaving, also record in the Mod Skype your total for that session plus Bonus time ("Active Support & Training" and "Unscheduled" time).
  3. Use a consistent word or words each time to make it easier to do a search at the end of the month for your total hours. Example: "Total John Time 2 hours". Then a search for the term "Total John Time" will help you find your hours easily to add up a Total for the month. Try copying the whole skype chat into notepad and do a search for your "terms".
  4. This is then used to give you priority status for hits on your Moderator Lead Capture Page Rotator url or any url of your choice. (F5M blog maybe?)

NEW SUPPORT HOURS!!! Please help cover them?
The Schedule has changed. Please check out the new colors and please lets work on getting 2 people in all of the new...

NEW SUPPORT HOURS!!!

Yes... at Bills suggestion, I have changed from 24 hr support to Specific Support hours twice a day. (Read the Home page in the room). Please sign up for the green Support hours ... and for the blue SFS Trainings too. All the colored spots need 2 people.

DesktopShare

If a visitor comes into the room and needs help doing something, sometimes "seeing" their Computer Desktop and walking them through the task is the best way. Try using Desktopshare mode. Heres how:

  1. You can ask them if they would like us to walk them through the task where we can see their computer screen?
  2. If they say yes then instruct them how to go to Desktop Sharing mode.
  3. You will have to logout and back in as a non moderator, and any other moderators are welcome to do the same. While logged in as a moderator, you will not see Desktop Sharing that someone else takes the room into. Also, if someone should come into the room after Desktop Sharing has started, you can not see it either, unless first returning the room to Standard mode then go back in to Desktop Share.
  4. For the visitor to go to Desktop Sharing, you will have to give them a Temporary Guest Moderator code: G3H3N6M2
  5. Instructions to go into Desktop Share: a) Log in as a moderator by checking the little box to be a moderator on the login page. b) Use that Temporary Guest Moderator code: G3H3N6M2 in the bottom of the login box. When you login as a moderator, you will be blue (tell your guest). c) From the moderator menu above, choose Desktop Sharing (remember they will see the Moderator Menu, but you will not see that... where the Browser menu is for non-mods, mods will see a Moderator menu.
  6. Your talk button is now at the top as a non-mod and their talk button is in their task bar at the bottom of their screen. Tell them they do not need to come back to the room to talk to you.
  7. Please remember to not leave the guest in Desktop Share mode. When done please ask them to come back to the room and return to standard mode. Even if they leave the room, the room can remain stuck in Desktop Share unless you all logout and back in.
  8. If Desktop Sharing gets stuck (as in you are no longer seeing what is happening new on their computer and the screen seems to freeze) just instruct them to come back to the room and go to stantard mode, then back into DesktopShare again.
  9. A video of how to login as a moderator and how to go into and out of desktopshare is coming soon... uploading now on BYO now. Ask me for it. This video can be useful to show visitors needing help with logging in as a moderator and going into Desktop share. I hope to place this video and the instructions on its own post to link ot form teh room so you can give them the url to watch on their own... or ask Hyla or I to send to them in their Support Skype.

Visitors1

I would like moderators to offer support to the people who come to the room in such away that is of most benefit to the visitor and at the same time give them, the visitor, a chance to find out more about how we can help them ... with the Sales Funnel Secrets system and our free online training and 24 hr support, and Skype, and to get their bonuses...etc., etc, etc.

Below is an audio I did briefly covering some of this... what you can offer to visitors to the room... I will also list a few here. Read the list here, then refer to the text while listening to the audio:

  1. To get the FREE online live Training and 24 hr support they can sign up to the blog/training updates once a week. The optin form is at the top corner of the Sales Funnel Secrets blog which is in the room too. In the audio below I also talk about the value of the archives... and getting links each week to each of the 7 daily topic archives... and how to get live help with more resources, audios and videos related to their interest in the group trainings.
  2. If they want live text chat (instant message) support, they can contact Hyla or myself and we will create a Support Skype for them...and their team (more on that in the audio below). See upper corner of the Sales Funnel Secrets blog which is in the room too. There is also a link to download Skype as well as our Skype name(s). Please do not offer to connect with them on Skype yourself, this is why we have 24 hr moderator coverage in the room. Encourage them to come to the room for support. (More in the audio on showing them how to find you or any moderator form the room schedule link.)
  3. Activating their Bonuses at the Sales funnel Secrets site... may help them get more info too. Example (...but not limited to ...) is to make their own free blog account, all members will gain instant access to the video on blogging, after bonus activation. This also gets SFS members on the best follow up list... either as free of Elite members. (more on that in the audio below).
  4. This above also has the beneficial plus of making sure all visitors are or become at least free members of Sales funnel Secrets.
  5. Try to get their full name and where they are from (Country at least)... so we can follow up with them and credit their sponsor or referrer with their sign up.

Autosurfdemo

We had Bill Moore do a demonstration on using auto surfing. This will be great compliment to our moderator training on advertising your squeeze and lead capture page together in a rotator url so moderators can start building their list of subscribers into their SFS ezine. Though not AS effective as manual surfing, auto surfing is a great way of advertising in the back ground when in a conference room or doing other things online. Moderators will get more hits the more they participate (Primary hours more then Secondary hours, and other ways of participating like giving a training, preparing a training and other admin help you offer to Sales Funnel Secrets admin’s Julie, Russ & Hyla.)

- Bill tried the lead capture page and the audio was autoplay... otherwise, how did it go with autosurf?

Q: What if I want to get Aweber soon but want my to build a list now using my moderator's LCP?

A: Your sfsezine will be setup in my Aweber... and can be brought over to yours actually ... once you upgrade (ask for the discount upgrade 25% commission instead of 10% as a free member) ... and be sure to follow the instructions on this modleadcapture post to place your order for your moderators LCP (lead capture page.) A Few More Tips on Filling out the Form below...

There may be information asked for in the form that you don't have, like AWeber login if you do not have an AWeber customer account. In that case simply leave that block empty. Another important point is for you not to use a Yahoo email address for your reply address. This is the email that your subscribers will reply to from your AWeber SFSEzine messages. For some reason Yahoo email addresses don't work well in AWeber as a reply address. If you only have a Yahoo email address, we suggest you open a free gmail account.

Study the Setup Steps, starting with "Introducing System Setup Steps" where you will learn a great deal about the system and what you will need to become a successful Sales Funnel Member and therefore also a successful Moderator. The setup Steps take you through from "Basic listbuilding" through to "Mastering Profitable List Building". You may also listen to these audios to understand the different levels of set up.

As moderators it is important that you understand the system as much as possible, so that you have most of the answers to questions you may encounter while in the room. We do realize that, unless you have AWeber, it will be difficult for you to address questions about the AWeber set up, but that is only part of the System Setup. If you do have your own AWeber account, it is advisable for you to follow the System Setup Steps to set up your own SFS Ezine, but also remember that we will help you should you encounter any problems doing that. You must always feel free to ask Julie or Hyla for help....that is what we are there for.

Did you know that anyone can get an AWeber affiliate account, and earn money from it. You don't need to have a paid customer account. Get a free affiliate account, but be sure to sign up under your sponsor, as we always want to help you and your team make residual income streams. If you are not sure who to sign up under, please feel free to ask us for help. We will search for your sponsor (the person who send you their SFS ezine). It is a 2 tier affiliate compensation plan, so you get paid commission on 2 levels.

I think everyone should set up a blogger site... It would be helpful if you are going to be training others to do so... as moderators.

If you do not have a blogger account yet, you will find the easy instructions in your members area under “Bonuses”. Log in and click on “Bonuses”. You will receive a bonus video on how to create a free blogger account Follow these instructions and learn how to set up your blogger account. The 1st Blog Post can be done either by us or you. If you do it though, it will be better, as it will give you the experience to be able to help others. Setup Step 07 gives you the instructions on how to do this.

More details are below for all three action items above. Heres is an Audio for the Moderator Training for 8-28-07 (Please let me -Julie- know if this is obsolete or still useful good info in this audio, would you?):









1) Add Yourself to the Schedule, We "should" have your email addresses from the moderator updates sign up and can send that to Bill to send you invitations to access the Moderators Schedule spreadsheet in Google Docs. This has to be completed by each moderator, with the times they are able to do duty in the room. Learn more here about the Schedule.

2) Request a Lead Capture Page. I would like to remind you of the special training on making your squeeze page. All moderators who do not have AWeber, please contact Hyla or Julie. Julie has kindly offered to have a list created for you in her own AWeber....even if you are a free member. This is one of the Moderators' privileges. You must however contact one of us asap. If you order your Lead Capture Page by filling out the form here, (This is the long form at the bottom of the page, not the short form in the upper right hand.) and the AWeber information is left blank, we will know that you need it set up in Julie's AWeber

3) Agree to Join Group Moderator Skype. One group skype for the moderators here, will make it so much easier to communicate with each other and us and support each other, spell each other, report room activity, etc, etc, etc.

Summary of what we need moderators to do:
  • Sign up for Moderator Updates if you have not yet.
  • Ask Bill or Hyla or Julie to email you an invitation for access to the Schedule on Google Docs SFS Moderator Schedule
  • Fill out the SFS Moderator schedule with your hours of support
  • Agree to the terms to join the single Moderator Skype here.
  • Request a lead capture page, you must request it by filling in the form on the modleadcapture post. This is the long form at the bottom of the page, not the short form in the upper right hand. Reply to that email you get for the of Lead capture page to contact Julie or Hyla for giving us all your details.
  • Sales Funnel Secrets Benefits to Moderators. If you are a free member and want a discount upgrade, we can discuss the conditions, or level of moderator participation, that would qualify you. For now we have a DISCOUNTED Elite+ $23.50 membership we can offer you (Elite upgrade is $38/mo now and may go up at some point.) We can grandfather you in at a discount price once you have 3 Elite upgrades and help us enough to save us time and effort.

Roles

We have the moderator's roles set out here. We are still in the development stages, so more will be added, and streamlined as we go along.

In this audio we have an overview of the moderator roles as well as the requirements to get the schedule for each moderator to fill out times they can moderate in the room. Listen while you read. The spread sheet with the schedule has now changed to a Google Calendar.


There is a Google Calendar with the moderators schedule on Google, and you will be able to access it after you fill out the update webform on this blog. We will then send an email invitation giving you the details to access it. This is why we need your email addresses. The calendar must be filled out by each moderator giving us the times they are able moderate in the room.

We should have a member's list ready for you shortly, meanwhile, if someone comes into the room, ask them whether they are a member or not.

Here are a few points for your attention, but we will have a complete "Moderators Role" compiled which will replace this. Meanwhile, kindly take note of these "duties":

Probably the most vital aspect of your role is having a commitment to be present in the live conference room at scheduled times. If you are scheduled for a time slot, and you cannot be there, please try to find a replacement, and advise either Julie or Hyla


As a moderator you are the 'live' front of SFS. You will often be the first point of contact for visitors. You will be expected to be able to:

* Welcome visitors warmly

* Offer to run a short presentation (Once these are available)

*Get all visitors full name and location. Tell them what time it is for you and ask where they are and what time it is for them. Keep it natural and helpful ... if it comes up or its natural to ask them ... you can get their ..... city, email address and skype if applicable, and report in the moderators skype as well as any questions from visitors, We can show you how to find them just by first and last name and location or we can do that if you get this at least and report it. We will want to follow up with them.

* Answer any questions to the best of your ability, or tell them that someone will contact them asap. There are many resources on the moderator's blog, as well as on the homepage in the room. Should you not find an answer, tell them that someone will contact them asap, and report this to Julie or Hyla.

* If visitors are not members yet, persuade them to join up for free,.We will do a search to place them under their sponsor later as well as train you to look up their sponor. Of course they will have signed up if they have a sponsor. But if they are NOT yet a member... they came to the room because they are on a member's SFS ezine in most cases. You can ask them to copy and paste the last email they got with SFS in the subject line to find out who sent them and look up that members rid (referal id) number... then we can send them their sponsors SFS affialite link. And if you don't manage to do this we will base on your reporting to us who they are and who they came from.
Therefore, it would be good to ask them how they found us ... and have them check their email for a message starting with SFS in the subject. Ask who sent it to them.

* Guide guests through the homepage in the room and explain the training schedule and encourage them to come to live training sessions.

* Show them the links to individual days...... Tell them that we have archives of each of the live session's 7 day topics if they either cannot make it live or want to repeat a training to act on it on their own time. We often do demonstrations and do things together... practical sessions. Some people can follow while others are faster or slower and can use the recorded training on their own time at their own speed. Do encourage them to take action to succeed!

* Encourage guests to sign up for Sales Funnel Secrets blog updates of trainings by completing the webform on the blog. They will get a weekly email with links to a summary of each of the 7 daily topics archived from the past week ... and whats coming to plan to attend on days of their interest.

* Do a certain amount of advertising while in the room.

We will have all moderators on a rotator to receive advertising for their site and provide you a lead capture page, SFS ezine and blog to get advertising credits to from all our efforts so you can generate leads and build your own list. The more you participate in the advertising and moderating, the more "weight" your urls will have in the mutual advertising rotator. We will teach you how to advertise as well.

Skype

We need to communicate with you and you with us and all other moderators

Our Moderator Skype Room is used for 24/7 communcation with and from you. We will be using this new skype room now so click here to join it or ask us to add you to it, all moderators can add you. If you add yourself you will find it is automatically bookmarked and easy to find in your Bookedmarked chats. If one of the group adds you, remember to bookmark it yourself.

Purpose of the Moderator's Skype Room

It has the same purpose our original 2007 skype room had:

  1. Report visitors and there contact details (Skype if they have it and email address and how they found this conference room, discussion details and needs or requests of theirs).
  2. Report your hours daily and total monthly. (Mark your entries with a consistent search able word(s). Use Control F to find your hours to total them easily).
Tip

Q: I have bookmarked it the Skype Room for Moderators, how do I get back to it?

A: Your main Skype box has Bookmarked Chats in the top menues ... (currently under Chats ... but they have been known to move it to other menu so look around if its not there). There is a little arrow on Bookmarked Chats. Click that then the bottom box has the rooms you are bookmarked in. Just click the Skype room you want and it will open.

Look at these posts to get more info and watch videos and if you need more help come to the room and skype us and we will show you in desktop share ... we can even make more videos while we are showing you. Let me know if you have any video ideas and suggestions. We LOVE making videos to support you.

when need to talk with someone in ongoing
extended text chats... if it is not related
to moderator work.

other then SFS related and only under their
SFS sponsor. We are building teams.
This applies to the room as well.


3) Moderators must agree to remove yourself
from the group Skype if no longer a Moderator.
(you can stay if you want to keep in touch and
are friendly toward our cause.) But only you can
remove yourself and so you need to know that.

Rotator

Today I would like to begin to talk about and setup the Moderator Rotator url so you all can start building your list of SFS Ezine Subscribers. We need you all to have an SFS squeeze page or MMG lead capture page url to add to the rotator. Who needs one setup for them and how wants to set it up yourself? The more you can set it up yourself the more you will understand how the Sales Funnel system works and be able to help people with their setup steps.

You see I want moderators to know how to find things here on thsi blog to help you find waht you need to be a good or even excellent moderator. Look at the Archive in the side bar now. Each post has a link of its own in the archive. these will links for each post on he moderator blog (or the importat ones anyway, like Roles, Schedule, Room Sound ... this one ...), will become he moderator training coming to all moderators as an email follow up form my Aweber.

Ok. Today ....

  1. How to Enable Sound so you can hear when someone enters or leave the room or leaves a text chat. Bill can you so the honors and then let us all practice. Every one make sure it works! Remember you must set 2 things:
  2. File / Options / Sound Tab / Enable Sound and ...
  3. Text Chat / Options / Check all 5 boxes at the bottom and especially "Show Date & Time" and "show Text Popup Hint" and "Show Sigh-In/Sign-Out messages"
  4. Set Status when not listening to the room please... then come back to check what you missed, anytime you are in the room as a moderator.

How to Set your Room Status ...
to Let People Know if you are not listening to the room temporarily while moderating

Now that you know how to setup your room to become aware when someone comes or goes or enters a text message in the room with tones, pop ups and text chat colors (see yesterdays post), its time to learn how to place yourself on one of the "not available" statuses if you are not listening or need to step away when moderating.

Lets say you must go to the kitchen for a snack or you get a phone call, or are distracted in a Skype chat while you are a moderator in the room. And a visitor comes in but you can not respond because you stepped away.

If you place yourself on one of these other room statuses temporarily, then they can know why you are not responding if they speak or text to you. The video will help you choose any of these:

  • Away
  • N/A
  • One The Phone
  • Occupied
  • Out to Lunch
Basically, to set your room status to "Away" or any of the above, do this:

  • right click your name and choose a status
  • when you are back, right click your name again and
  • choose the top "online" status
While you are "away", any visitors will understand that you may not respond immediately and hopefully will wait for you to get back. Please do check the text chat when you get back and then respond to them. Also, please always greet people by both voice and text in case they do not hear or see your greeting. And ask them how you can help them.

We will get into more of how you can help them, and how to know if they are a member of Sale Funnel Secrets, who their sponsor is, etc, ... in another post. Some suggestions for now are below to get you started. Please though...

Always report their presents in the room. Report this on the moderator Skype as soon as possible Do this by copying and pasting from the room text chat to the moderator group Skype. Also report (copy/paste) their text chats ... and what they needed so we can get back to them. If you do not know the answer to their question, or they do not hae a question, or as often as possible in all cases actually, do this with all visitors:

  1. Always Report visits in the Moderator Skype - We need their full name and country so we can get back to them,
  2. Tell them we will get back to them with more information regarding their question.
  3. Tell them they are welcome to come back during one of the twice daily group support & training sessions, showing them the schedule in the room.
  4. Give them the url for the home page in the room http://incomeassurance.com/blog/?p=4
  5. and ask them to copy that to an outside browser and print the schedule to post near the computer or where ever they will see it to remind them.
  6. Ask them if they would like to book mark the schedule page
  7. Show them our contact information below the webform in upper right of the room or my blog http://incomeassurance.com/blog ...
  8. Ask them to Skype us their questions, and if they need to get Skype for free TEXT CHAT (not just voice, no microphone is needed)... with us, encourage them to do that and ...
  9. let them know they can download Skype free, get Skype Tips and Movies here: http://incomeassurance.com/skype
  10. Explain that we use Skype for text messaging, not just speaking so there is no headset or mic needed to text with us live anytime, Hyla is in S. Africa and Julie (the founder) is in the USA.
  11. And also explain that, if they want free training updates, a subscription to the blog sends them a weekly link to the live and archived trainings, on Thursdays, with a link to each of the 7 archives and post for the previous week's seven topics, audios and video demos.
